Ginny Hopper received her Peak Pilates certification in May 2010 through The Good Space in Houston, TX. After receiving her B.A. in English and Sociology from The University of Georgia Ginny moved to Atlanta and worked in furniture and interior design. After a serious sports injury Ginny became fascinated by the human body and it’s movement. She soon realized that her love of Pilates could not only be the ticket to helping her understand her own body and movement but also her desire to help others. In addition to Pilates and movement, Ginny also loves to hike, bike, run, climb, and ski. She always says that next to her dog, Kenny, her road bike is her favorite thing. After spending many summers in Jackson, WY as a teenager Ginny dreamed of one day making it her home. In May 2010, with the first level of her Pilates training completed, Ginny decided to finally move to her favorite place where she could do all of her favorite things!
Ginny maintains that Pilates is the best way for one to really know and understand his or her own body. Pilates is not only great for strengthening, conditioning, and correcting habitually poor movement patterns, but also is essential to creating and maintaining proper alignment and balanced musculature which will assist in injury prevention and protect the body and it ages.
Ginny cannot wait to continue her Pilates education with Peak Pilates this fall and is always enthusiastic to learn everything she can about Pilates, the body, and movement. For appointment with Ginny, please call 713-444-1552
Nina came to the practice of yoga with one interest and goal, to feel better and be pain free. Severe injuries are what led her to begin to study Anusara 6years ago but the philosophy, alignment, and community is what has kept her practicing. She has a BS in Exercise Sports Science, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well has the Junior Development Head Nordic Coach for the JHSC.
For the past 5 years she has traveled and studied with some amazing teachers; among them are Desiree Rumbaugh, Sianna Sherman, Amy Ippoliti, Sundari Lucey, and John Friend; all who have inspired her to teach and pass on her knowledge and passion for the therapeutic aspects of Anusara Yoga. Nina also completed a 200 hour RYT Teacher Training at the Nosara Yoga Institute and Anusara Level 1 Teacher Training. She has loved practicing many different styles of yoga but has found that Anusara resonates the most with her body and heart. She brings a lot of enthusiasm, humor, and heart to her classes.
